Angry Fathers seemed very ineteresting to me. Mostly with fact that I could probably relate to it. There had always been a time when a child did something just of the fact that he or she was bored. Though of course the actions taken during this episode of boredom can lead to positive or negative things.
I enjoyed the comparision of parents that Mel Lazarus accomplished in this essay. More or less show the raw facts and details of how life can really be. The two boys (Artie and Eli) who were beaten immediantly after their fathers were told was a very strong example. Then we have the little boy, who to me seemed to be just the tug along. Not really there to do anything drastic, but I felt as if he did it to follow his friends.
The little boy who was the narrator seemed to have been brought up different. His father had never laid a hand upon him and the fact that he kept his way of parenting not only taught his son a life long lesson, but they got closer in the end. The little boy felt as if he could trust his father. The essay, rather it being just a memoir pretty much takes a big toll on living and leaves somewhat of a moral message.

The Crummy First Draft by Anne Lamott
When I first thought about the title The Crummy First Draft, I thought a little bit of myself. To be honest all first ideas on paper aren't the best. Most first drafts are sloppy, unorganized typically horrendous. Though before one can walk we must crawl.
The essay, well thought out, gave a clear input on how writing is first created. It seemed like an essay that was somewhat like a mirror. Her thesis was lucid to the fact that we all, even a great writer as herself have a "crummy" first draft. Something that we are never to show anyone, yet it helped our writing come alive!
